Even beginners can make good sushi rolls without the ingredients spilling out or shifting to one side. You can easily make beautiful sushi rolls of uniform size. Perfect for making bento lunches, celebrating home parties, and ehomaki.

Steps:

1. Set the rolling mat in the mold. Place the rolling mat lightly on the mold. Spread the nori (dried seaweed sheet) on top and spread the vinegared rice evenly. *One regular full-sized sheet of nori is fine.

2. Fill with vinegared rice and other ingredients of your choice. Place the ingredients on the vinegared rice, and then fill with vinegared rice so that it covers the ingredients.

3. Press tightly with the lid. Press the lid wetted with water to create a firm shape.
Remove the lid, moisten the protruding nori sheet with vinegar, and close it.

4. Shape it with a rolling mat. Remove the sushi from the oshizushi mold and use both hands to shape it on the rolling mat.
*You can keep it square or round! Then cut it into the size you like and it's done.

★The best way to cut★
Rather than cutting it right away after rolling it, it's easier to cut if you wrap it on the rolling mat, secure both ends with a rubber band, and leave it for a while to let the flavors blend.
Also, when cutting, wet and wipe the knife repeatedly, and cut without pressing too hard to get a beautiful finish!
