This G-SHOCK model features a design motif inspired by the traditional Japanese art of origami. Origami evolved with the invention of durable and beautiful washi paper, symbolizing freedom of expression and the ability to create anything from paper. This spirit and craftsmanship are embodied in this G-SHOCK. From the bezel to the band, this unique design meticulously recreates the characteristics of origami.

The bezel and band feature two distinct dotted line patterns—valley folds and mountain folds—inspired by the texture of washi paper. The crane symbol, a symbol of origami, appears when the backlight is lit and on the case back. This symbol represents the infinite possibilities that can be created from a single piece of paper. In keeping with the traditional Japanese art of origami, the watch is also made in Japan, with a focus on the production location. The packaging is also specially designed.
