This denim apron was created with the concept of "Let's try something new with your family today!" It is available in a DIY adult version and a DIY kids version (sold separately) that are suitable for DIY work.
Subaru's THE NEW DENIM PROJECT (TNDP) is an upcycling project in Guatemala that reuses denim scraps and old clothes as raw materials and regenerates them into new threads, fabrics, and products. It is committed to sustainability, such as reducing water usage by not re-dyeing and donating cotton scraps generated during spinning to coffee plantations to return them to the soil as organic compost.
The design was handled by the Subaru Design Department and the TNDP Sustainable Team. The two parties met repeatedly to condense their attention to detail, such as the position and size of the pockets and holder belt. This piece was created with the hope that users will have an enjoyable daily life.
The apron features DIY design details, such as the slits below the knee for ease of movement, the towel loop on the left pocket, and the antique bronze metal fittings. The denim material is a strong navy color among TNDP products, and matches the color of SUBARU. TNDP denim also has an appealing soft texture, making it easy to wear.
