The G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary RECRYSTALLIZED series is a limited edition model celebrating the 40th anniversary of G-SHOCK, which has pursued toughness since its birth in 1983. The first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000, was released in April 1983. The bezel, band, and screw-back case back have been recrystallized and deep hardened, and the bezel and band have been TIC coated, while the case back has been DLC coated. The dial features the words "SINCE1983." The case back is engraved with the 40th anniversary logo designed by Eric Haze, and the bottom left button is engraved with a star mark, making it a fitting specification for a special model.
